Is your child struggling to keep up on practice? Is s/he way behind on the 30-Song challenge this school year? Or is your child super motivated to move up to the next level as soon as possible? Then the 4-Day Practice Camp may be just what s/he needs!
I ran this a couple of years ago with 5 students and the results were awesome! Students came knowing they were there to practice and made lots, lots, lots of progress. Practice Camp runs from Monday through Thursday. Dates: 17-20 June 9am to 12:30pm At the start of the each day, students are given a Piano Workout Card, detailing what they are to achieve by the end of that morning. During the camp, students will work on Music Theory, Sight Reading, Note Practice, Rhythm Practice as well as practicing pieces from their method books. Students will also learn "show-off" pieces that they can use for recitals, talent shows or to play at the Annapolis Mall Movie Theater recital later this year. A 30-minute snack/xBox break (for those who like snacks and xBox) and a daily Music Theory Games tournament gives the students short breaks from practice so they don't overload! Students won't have any home practice to do as they will have almost 14 hours of practice at Practice Camp. No more chasing up on their piano practice! You will be amazed at how much they progress when music is the focus of the whole week! Practice Camp ends with a mini recital where the students will perform 1 or 2 of their pieces for the group. Practice Camp is open to students age 8+ Cost: $150 per student (10% sibling discount) |
