Etudes Music Studio Policy 2024
Welcome to the new Piano Year. I am excited about all the students will be learning this year. The policies below will help us to have a very productive Piano Year. Please read and let me know if you have any questions.
Lessons and Make-Up Lessons
Classes run from 6 January through 15 June 2024. Students will have 21 regular lessons during this period. If your child has to miss a lesson and you have informed me in advance, I'll try to arrange a make-up spot either online or in another class.
If your child is sick, please do not attend the lesson. I'll try to arrange an online or in-person make-up lesson so your child won't fall behind.

In-Person Attendance
Students should arrive at Nichols Bethel 5 minutes before the lesson. The entrance is at the back of the building. Ring the door bell at Door #1 if the door is locked and someone will let you in. Please wait quietly outside the music room until the previous class is dismissed. Lessons begin promptly so it is important to arrive on time so that your child doesn't miss any of the lesson.
In-person lessons are NOT drop-off lessons. Nichols Bethel has a “Safe Child Policy” so parents must stay close by or in the room with their child during the lesson. This will enable you to know how to help your kiddos to practice at home during the week.

Practice
Students are expected to practice 5 days a week. Practice time will take about 10 minutes for beginners and about 20 minutes for students at level 2 and above. Piano practice is homework - most students need to be reminded to do it.
