A gigantic THANK YOU for your phenomenal support of our Operation Christmas Child project. You all stepped up in an amazing way and helped us to fill 23 shoeboxes with gifts for children across the world who would normally not receive gifts this Christmas.
I was touched by the enthusiasm of the students as I shared the goal of Operation Christmas Child. Many asked if they could bring iPhones and Tablets for these children, but I didn’t think you parents would want to fund that, so we stuck with school supplies, toiletries, socks, dolls, balls and other small toys :)
Special thanks to Joe, who took time to fill out the coloring sheet and the note for the recipient of his shoebox gifts. That was so thoughtful :)
Miss Lisa delivered our boxes to the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center in Odenton, and she also put a track on some of the shoeboxes so we can find out which country those boxes go to.
The students were on a challenge to see which “lesson day” could bring the most items. I am pleased to announce that the winner is.... drumroll please.....TUESDAY with a whopping 58 items. Woohoo! Tuesday students will get to spin the “Operation Christmas Child Wheel” this week at their lesson, and claim their prizes from the prize box. |
